As of July 2026.
Puig Brands (BME: PUIG) is one of the most-discussed recent IPOs on the Spanish market, so "puig forum" and "puig brands forum" draw steady searches. This page does not host a forum. It summarizes, as of July 2026, what Puig is, how the share has moved since listing, the merger that collapsed in mid-2026, and the talking points that recur on the boards — where governance is a live grievance — linking the real venue so you can read it yourself.

Puig is a Barcelona-based prestige fragrance, beauty and fashion group whose brands include Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Charlotte Tilbury, Nina Ricci and Byredo. It carried out the largest global IPO of 2024, listing on 3 May 2024 at €24.50 per share, and joined the IBEX 35 on 22 July 2024. It has no crypto or blockchain business.
The story since listing has been volatile and, notably, mostly below the IPO price. As early as 21 July 2025, Bloomberg reported that the founding family was studying ways to support a sagging share price. By mid-July 2026 the shares traded around €16.7–16.8, within a 52-week range reported at roughly €13.11 to €18.89 (a €21.37 January-2026 print that circulates conflicts with that range, so we do not cite it). Treat exact levels as indicative.
Operationally the business has held up: Puig reportedly posted record first-quarter 2026 sales of about €1.215 billion (up roughly 4.7% like-for-like), with all segments and regions contributing — a single-digest figure we present as indicative.
The defining event was a merger with Estée Lauder that was confirmed and then collapsed — this is settled fact, not rumour. Talks were publicly confirmed on 23 March 2026 (a combination valued in the region of US$40 billion) and then collapsed on 21 May 2026, reportedly over a change-of-control clause tied to Charlotte Tilbury earn-out and compensation terms. Puig fell about 14–15% on 22 May 2026 — its worst day since listing — while Estée Lauder rose about 11%. The event itself (confirmed talks, then a confirmed collapse) is settled; the specific reason — the Tilbury clause — is reported rather than officially confirmed, so we present the cause as reported, not definitive.
Bulls point to record operating results, the quality of the brand portfolio, and a valuation that has reset after the collapse. More cautious investors point to the broken-IPO overhang, a governance discount, and share-supply from lock-up expiries (a Class B tranche reportedly unlocked on 1 June 2026, with the next reported for 31 January 2027 — treat these dates as indicative). This page sets no price target and makes no forecast.
Puig has a pointed retail following on Rankia, including a dedicated thread and blog series. The recurring themes (summarized, not reproduced as posts) were: a widely held view that the IPO was priced too high and the market detected it quickly; anger over the dual-class governance structure — the family's Class A shares (held via Exea) carry roughly five votes each, so the family holds around 74% of the capital but about 93% of the votes, a gap retail investors frame in "no say despite owning shares" terms; and broader minority frustration at having little influence despite solid underlying operations. These are observed retail views, not company facts or our recommendation. Read them on the Rankia forums.
First-quarter 2026 results were presented on 28 April 2026 (note: some summaries mislabel this as a "half-year" date — it is not; the true first-half 2026 date could not be verified, so check puig.com investor relations). The reported 31 January 2027 lock-up expiry is the other scheduled item to watch, since it can add to share supply. Rely on Puig's IR page for confirmed dates.
Puig is a Spanish-listed equity; to buy the shares themselves the route is a brokerage account with access to the Bolsa de Madrid. That is a different asset class from cryptocurrency. If you also follow crypto markets, WEEX offers futures on Bitcoin and other crypto assets — with leverage, long or short — as well as spot markets; see the futures markets and the how to buy Bitcoin guide. WEEX does not list Puig, its shares, or any tokenized version of them; this is exposure to crypto only, not to the stock.
Where can I see the Puig forum? Retail discussion runs on the Rankia stock forums. We summarize and link only; we never reproduce or invent posts.
Why is Puig so talked about? A high-profile 2024 IPO that has mostly traded below its offer price, a merger with Estée Lauder that collapsed in 2026, and a contentious dual-class governance structure keep it in constant debate.
Did the Estée Lauder deal happen? No. Talks were confirmed in March 2026 and then collapsed in May 2026. Both the talks and the collapse were confirmed; the reported cause was a change-of-control clause.
Does Puig have any crypto exposure? No. It is a fragrance, beauty and fashion group with no crypto or blockchain activity.
What moves the share price? Results, M&A and strategic news, lock-up expiries, governance sentiment, and consumer/luxury-sector trends.
