Crypto projects prefer token launches over Series A funding
CryptoRank analyzed 3,757 early-stage crypto projects and found that many prefer launching a token instead of raising a Series A round as a 'graduation path.' Only 588 projects, or 15.7%, proceeded to raise a Series A round, with a median time of 15 months from initial fundraising to Series A. In contrast, 1,152 projects, or 30.7%, launched a token, with 974 doing so without a Series A round. Only 178 projects, or 4.7% of the total, achieved both a Series A raise and a token launch. CryptoRank indicated that token launches and Series A rounds represent alternative 'graduation paths' for crypto projects, diverging from the traditional growth stages seen in conventional startups.
