Crypto and prediction market executives will gather at the White House next week, one day before the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's meeting for its new Innovation Advisory Committee. This committee will include experts from crypto, prediction markets, and traditional finance. Despite delays in the crypto Clarity Act, regulators are advancing pro-crypto initiatives. The report did not confirm President Trump's attendance. Pro-crypto lawmakers had hoped for the Clarity Act's passage before Congress's August recess, but a vote is now scheduled for September. A new draft of the bill, initially passed by the House last year, addresses ethics by prohibiting government officials from promoting or profiting from crypto. President Trump has campaigned to position America as the crypto capital and has received support from key industry players. Since taking office, he has signed several pro-crypto measures, including a March 2025 executive order for a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Regulators have also dismissed several high-profile lawsuits against crypto companies and are shifting towards a more supportive regulatory approach.
