U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren demands an explanation from the U.S. government regarding the easing of AI semiconductor export policies to the UAE following a significant investment in World Liberty Financial (WLFI). WLFI received a 500 million dollar investment from an Abu Dhabi court in January, while UAE-linked firm MGX invested 2 billion dollars in Binance using WLFI's stablecoin USD1. Subsequently, the U.S. Commerce Department announced it would permit exports of high-performance semiconductors to the UAE and provide favorable treatment for MGX's license applications. Warren expressed concerns that former President Trump's business interests in cryptocurrency are influencing government agencies and national security, asserting the need for an investigation.
