Ukrzaliznytsia Increases Grain Transit to Poland and Romania

In August 2026, the average daily volume of grain cargo transferred through border crossings with Romania reached 31.2 wagons per day, significantly higher than the July figure by almost two wagons. At the border with Poland, there is also an increase: currently, 27.4 wagons of grain are being transferred daily, which is 13.8 wagons more than in July. At the same time, a decrease in volumes has been recorded at other western borders. Exports to Hungary have decreased to 23 wagons per day, which is 16 units less than the previous month. In Slovakia, the average daily transfer of grain cargo has decreased by 2.7 wagons, totaling 14.2 wagons per day. Ukrzaliznytsia has imposed restrictions on cargo transportation to the port stations of Chornomorsk and Odesa-Port, affecting all cargo for the Odesa Port Plant and wheat with barley for Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine, effective until further notice.
