The Ukrainian company Swarmer has become a partner and investor in the American company Vectus Air Defense Systems, led by Eric Prince, the founder of Blackwater. Swarmer owns 20% of Vectus and will participate in the development of counter-drone technologies. Vectus will offer a "defense as a service" model, including air defense and counter-drone systems, their deployment, and maintenance. Among the solutions are electronic warfare systems, guns, and interceptor drones, with technologies sourced from the USA, Ukraine, Israel, and other countries. Vectus's clients will include governments and critical infrastructure operators. Swarmer will work on detection systems and solutions for coordinating drone swarms. The Vectus model will allow customers to receive a ready-made defense system without the need for independent deployment and maintenance. In March 2026, Swarmer went public on Nasdaq, becoming the first Ukrainian defense-tech company to conduct an IPO on the American stock exchange.
