Ukrainian Government Allocates 1.6 Billion UAH for Education and Student Nutrition
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated over 1.6 billion UAH for the modernization of technical schools, the establishment of 130 academic lyceums, and the nutrition of primary school students in 8 frontline regions. More than 860 million UAH will be directed towards the modernization of vocational and higher vocational education institutions, enabling the implementation of over 100 projects in the regions. The project includes the construction and renovation of educational facilities, the creation of new workshops and laboratories, the purchase of modern equipment, and energy efficiency measures. Additionally, the distribution of a subsidy of nearly 700 million UAH for 130 academic lyceums in 22 regions has been completed, which will be used to acquire educational and multimedia equipment, furniture, and laboratory equipment. An additional 83.6 million UAH has been allocated for organizing free hot meals for primary school students in 8 frontline regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and others. The total budget for student nutrition in 2026 amounts to 14.4 billion UAH.
