BlockBeats News, March 6th, according to the AXIOS website, former President Trump said in an interview on Thursday that he needs to personally get involved in choosing Iran's next leader, just like in Venezuela.

Trump acknowledged that the son of the assassinated top leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is the most likely successor, but at the same time made it clear that he considers this outcome unacceptable. For several days, the Iranian regime has delayed announcing the successor to the Supreme Leader. However, on Thursday, statements from Iranian political figures hinted that the results might be announced soon.

Trump said, "They are wasting time. Khamenei's son is a nobody. I have to get involved in the appointment process like I did with Diosdado Cabello in Venezuela." He added that he refuses to accept any new Iranian leader who would continue Khamenei's policies, which would force the U.S. to "go back to war within five years." (Golden Finance)
