The Ethereum mainnet is about to launch L1 zkEVM, significantly enhancing its scalability.
BlockBeats News, July 11th, Ethereum Foundation developer Sophia Gold stated that L1 zkEVM is about to land on the Ethereum mainnet, significantly increasing the Gas limit, and achieving native zk-rollup support without sacrificing security, liveliness, and censorship resistance.
As a first step, the Ethereum Foundation zkEVM team has proposed a real-time proving standard, aiming to achieve on-site proving calculations in office buildings and even some residences. Sophia expects that, with the accelerated progress of multiple zkVMs, this goal is likely to be achieved by the November Devcon Argentina conference this year. She also stated that the future of the Ethereum execution layer has arrived.
