Poland Prevents Russian Attack on Border Crossing with Ukraine
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the prevention of an attack on one of the border crossings with Ukraine and expects further strikes from Russia on border infrastructure. On September 10, during a press conference in Bratislava, Tusk noted that thanks to the joint actions of Polish and Ukrainian intelligence services, the threat to one of the border crossings was eliminated. Tusk did not specify which crossing was involved or what plans the perpetrators had. He reminded of previous provocative attacks by Russia on border points aimed at economically weakening Kyiv. The Prime Minister also reported receiving an accurate briefing from the CIA about possible events in the coming months, which aligns with his warnings. Tusk emphasized the need for Poland and all of Europe to be prepared for various scenarios, both on the Russian-Ukrainian front and along the eastern flank of the EU. His warning came against the backdrop of changing nature of Russian attacks, including strikes on vehicle crossings connecting Ukraine with Moldova and Romania.
