The Iranian military leadership has announced a reward of $30,000 for anyone who captures or kills a U.S. soldier. In a statement on the 16th, Amir Hatami, the Iranian Army Commander, said, "Anyone who kills or captures the American invading forces will receive a reward of $30,000 or the equivalent of 5 billion tomans." He added that women would receive double the reward for the same actions. Commander Hatami explained that this measure was implemented in response to numerous requests to participate in 'financial jihad.' This statement comes amid escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf region. He asserted that U.S. forces must leave the Middle East, stating, "They no longer have permission to enter the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, or the Strait of Hormuz."
