Hyperliquid HYPE Burns 9,730 Tokens, Cumulative Total Reaches 48.42 Million
Hyperliquid (HYPE) has recently purchased and burned 9,730 HYPE tokens in the last 24 hours. The cumulative amount burned has increased to 48.42 million tokens. According to Onchain Lens, Hyperliquid bought HYPE at an average price of $85.27 for burning, with the value of this amount being approximately $829,500 (around 1.12 billion KRW). The cumulative burned amount of 48.42 million tokens is currently valued at about $41.4 billion (approximately 55.89 trillion KRW), which corresponds to 4.84% of the maximum supply. The buying and burning process reduces the circulating tokens but does not necessarily indicate a price increase. The impact of supply changes on market prices must be considered alongside other variables such as trading volume and fee income. According to Hyperliquid's official documentation, transaction fees are distributed to the HLP, the assistance fund, and distributors. The assistance fund automatically converts transaction fees into HYPE during Layer 1 execution, and the HYPE accumulated in that address is counted as burned tokens. There are differences in how burn figures are aggregated; some data sites consider the balance of the assistance fund as part of the burned amount, while other dashboards calculate only programmatic burns separately. Hyperliquid's cumulative burned amount is presented as 4.84% of the maximum supply, and the impact of supply structure changes on prices may vary depending on future trading activities and fee flows.
