Goldman Sachs has raised its global market size forecasts for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and copper-clad laminates (CCLs) in its latest report. The global AI server PCB market is expected to reach $37.5 billion by 2027, an increase of 38% from previous estimates, and grow to $84 billion by 2028. The CCL market is projected to reach $22.1 billion in 2027, up 18%, with a potential increase to $48 billion in 2028. From 2026 to 2028, the compound annual growth rates for the AI server PCB and CCL markets are expected to reach 148% and 161%, respectively. This growth is driven by multiple factors, including increased server shipments, higher PCB layer counts, greater penetration of advanced HDI, upgrades in CCL materials, and increased usage of PCBs within complete cabinets.
