Gate has completed an internal review regarding the security unbinding of client "9****6" who reported a theft of 1.7 million. The review confirmed that the submitted account email, phone number, real-name information, platform transaction records, and Alipay screen recordings highly matched the client's account. The Alipay screen recording was determined to be generated only by the client themselves or someone with access to their Alipay account, and no internal information leakage or abnormal access logs were found. Gate stated that the security change review process follows a "multi-channel notification + system risk control + manual multi-layer review + time protection" protocol, and a 24-hour withdrawal prohibition protection is set after modifications. Following the incident, Gate has traced the flow of funds and coordinated with third parties such as Tether to promote freezing and recovery, and will cooperate with judicial procedures. Users are also reminded to check device security, clear remote control software, and change important account passwords.
