Florida Attorney General Investigates Robinhood's Cryptocurrency Trading Promotion
BlockBeats News, July 11th, according to Bloomberg, Robinhood Markets Inc.'s cryptocurrency business is under investigation in Florida, accused of using deceptive tactics to mislead consumers about trading costs.
The California-based company is being accused by the state's Attorney General's office of "false advertising" its trading platform as "the lowest cost way to buy cryptocurrency." As part of the investigation, the Attorney General's office has subpoenaed Robinhood to provide marketing materials and other internal documents related to its crypto services and pricing structure.
