First Families Complete Construction of Homes Under the 'eRecovery' Program
The first families have completed the construction of private homes on their own land under the 'eRecovery' program in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. The total amount of compensation provided for five projects is 12.2 million UAH. Since April 2025, 1,185 monetary compensations have been approved, with an average subsidy amounting to 2.2 million UAH. Funding occurs in two phases: 820 families received the first tranche totaling 983.7 million UAH, while 432 families received the second tranche amounting to 543.6 million UAH. The highest number of compensations has been approved in the Kyiv region - 544 for 1.5 billion UAH, in the Chernihiv region - 148 for 281.8 million UAH, and in the Kharkiv region - 49 for 107.4 million UAH. Payments have also been designated in other regions of Ukraine. Owners of destroyed housing can choose between a housing certificate or funds for construction. To receive the payment, an application must be submitted through the 'Diia' app, ownership of the destroyed house must be terminated, and a notification of the commencement of construction works must be provided. Funds are transferred in two tranches of 50% to a special 'eRecovery' card. As of June 2026, financial assistance has been received by 206,447 Ukrainian families totaling 103.9 billion UAH.
