Custodian's Statement in Diego Maradona's Death Trial

The trial regarding the death of Diego Armando Maradona is progressing with the testimony of Martín "Chori" Domínguez, his last custodian, at the San Isidro Courts. The hearing, scheduled for 10 AM, is crucial as Domínguez could provide details about Maradona's routine and condition during his house arrest in Tigre. The process is in its final phase, with the upcoming presentation of the Medical Board, which will determine responsibilities. Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60. Seven health professionals are charged with simple homicide with eventual intent, facing sentences ranging from eight to 25 years in prison. Among the accused are neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque and psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov. Additionally, nurse Dahiana Madrid will face a jury trial, although it has been postponed. Domínguez's statement is relevant following inconsistencies in previous testimonies, including the arrest of a security team member for false testimony.
