China Submits Mazu Meteorological Intelligent Early Warning 2.0 Plan to Djibouti

Prefer us on GoogleThe China Meteorological Administration submitted the Mazu (MAZU) version 2.0 meteorological intelligent early warning plan to Djibouti at the meteorological sub-forum of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference. This plan integrates meteorological chips and forecasting models through intelligent terminals, linking with the 1.0 version donated in 2025 to form a "measurement---reporting---warning" integrated solution. The spatial resolution of the forecast has been improved from 9 kilometers to 3 kilometers, with a forecast validity covering 3 days and updates every 6 hours. The system integrates phased array radar, short-term forecasting algorithms, and AI models such as "Rain Master," utilizing Fengyun meteorological satellites for comprehensive disaster monitoring and on-board risk calculation. It is expected that this system will be implemented in Djibouti by the end of this year and can be replicated and promoted to other key weather-affected areas in other countries.
