Candela Arizaga was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday after being stabilized at Pirovano Hospital. The 23-year-old had been hospitalized following a confusing episode in an apartment in Belgrano involving former congressman Facundo Moyano. Arizaga stated that she was not assaulted by Moyano, despite initial reports of a complaint for gender-based violence. She indicated that the situation escalated in the context of substance use, which caused her disorientation, and affirmed that Moyano 'did not hit her' nor exercised physical violence. A medical report confirmed a knee injury consistent with a fall in public, with no other serious injuries. Moyano refused to undergo blood and urine tests requested for the investigation. However, he was detained for injuries and unlawful deprivation of liberty. In the afternoon, his apartment was raided, and two cell phones were seized, with no drug findings. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., when Arizaga ran out of a building naked asking for help, followed by Moyano. The police intervened and arrested the union leader. Arizaga was assisted by SAME and taken to the hospital, where she was lucid and in good general condition. Her lawyer indicated that the legal classification of the case is provisional and will depend on the evolution of the case.
