Base Tokenized US Treasury Market Sees $636,000 Increase in Market Cap
Base recorded a daily market cap increase of $636,000 in the tokenized US Treasury market. While the overall size still lags behind Ethereum, there is a trend of tokenized Treasuries and money market funds moving to Layer 2 networks. According to CryptoBriefing, Base ranked first in the increase of market cap for tokenized US Treasuries. As of the 29th, DeFiLlama reported that Base's active market cap for real assets is $197.96 million, with an on-chain market cap of $327.82 million, and a DeFi active TVL of $37.15 million. In contrast, Ethereum's on-chain market cap for real assets stands at $16.745 billion. The increase in Base can be interpreted as a case of short-term capital inflow into a specific chain. Assets related to Spiko are also gaining attention, and Coinbase announced that Spiko's fund has been registered as a UCITS fund. Base emphasizes asset tokenization and tradable market infrastructure, with tokenized US Treasuries establishing themselves as a significant area in the on-chain real asset market. CoinGecko estimates the market cap of tokenized Treasuries at $11.3 billion, while DeFiLlama reports the TVL at $14.447 billion. The $636,000 increase in Base is appropriately interpreted as a signal of short-term inflow.
