Corporate AI spending has increased by 110% compared to the previous year, yet only 9% of companies have autonomously changed their workflows. According to a survey by ServiceNow, discussions around AI adoption are focusing more on evaluating execution results rather than expanding budgets. Among 4,500 executives from 12 industries across 19 countries who participated in the survey, 59% are using generative AI, but only 9% have established autonomous multi-step workflows. The average AI maturity score was recorded at 51. ServiceNow's CFO, Masta Tuna, emphasized that before investing in AI, companies should ask questions about competitive advantage, customer demand, and measurable value. Additionally, ServiceNow completed the acquisition of Amis for $7.75 billion on April 20, which was described as an investment to bridge the gap between asset visibility and cyber risk. AI control features have also been expanded, adding capabilities for companies to discover and monitor their AI systems. ServiceNow's Q2 results showed subscription revenue of $3.877 billion and total revenue of $3.987 billion, with the annual contract value (ACV) of AI exceeding $1 billion. The key issue is whether customer demand, workflow, and measurable value align in actual operations, rather than the size of the AI budget.
