It has been reported that 61.7% of the assets on Franklin Templeton's Benji platform are on the BNB Chain. The assets on the BNB Chain amount to approximately $1.5 billion, while the total managed assets of Benji are estimated at $2.44 billion. The BNB Chain is the largest host of Benji's assets, with Stellar accounting for about $573 million and Ethereum for about $159 million. This figure shows a different trend compared to existing observations in the RWA tokenization market. Benji operates on a multi-chain structure, where the chain accumulating assets serves as an indicator of actual demand direction. Low transaction costs can be a criterion for chain selection for both individual investors and institutional managers. However, chain selection is determined by various factors, including costs, security, regulatory compliance, and liquidity. The BNB Chain has now taken on the role of a settlement location for institutional financial products. There is no confirmation that the fact that Benji's assets are on the BNB Chain will lead to price pressure on BNB. The distribution of Benji's assets across chains is expected to attract market interest regarding future changes in proportions.
